Donny Osmond and Marie Osmond in Donny and Marie (1975)

Trivia

Donny and Marie

Edit
When Fred Silverman saw the way Donny and Marie interacted in an appearance on the The Mike Douglas Show (1961), he decided to develop a variety show with them.
Bob Paul, who won the pairs figure skating gold medal at the 1960 Winter Olympics with his partner Barbara Wagner, choreographed the figure skating segments.
In order, the nine Osmond children are: George "Virl" Osmond, Jr. (October 19, 1945), Thomas "Tom" Rulon (October 26, 1947), Alan (June 22, 1949), Melvin "Wayne" (August 28, 1951), Merrill Davis (April 30, 1953), Jay (March 2, 1955), Donny (December 9, 1957), Marie (October 13, 1959), and Jimmy (April 16, 1963). Their father, George Osmond (October 13, 1917-November 6, 2007) was a real estate and insurance salesman in Ogden, Utah. Olive May Osmond (May 4, 1925-August 28, 2004) was the matriarch of the Osmond singing family.
In summer 1969, Disneyland Entertainment produced Disneyland's Tomorrowland (outdoor) Summer nightly variety show, a three-month-long variety show with groups booked for 4 weeks at a time. The show was staged three times a night, with the first show at 7, to encourage park guests to stay in the park after dark. In June 1969, the Osmond Brothers appeared for a four-week engagement.
The Osmond Brothers began as a barbershop quartet group in their hometown of Ogden, Utah. It consisted of Alan, Wayne, Merrill, and Jay Osmond. Younger siblings Donny and Jimmy joined later.
