JoBeth Williams, Daniel J. Travanti, and Adam Walsh in Adam (1983)

Trivia

Adam

Edit
One of the photos for the abducted children shown at the end of this movie, named Bryon Anthony McCane, is of rapper Bizzy Bone, who is a former member of Bone Thugs N Harmony. He was abducted at age 4 by his father in the '80s.
Based on the true story of the kidnapping of Adam Walsh, son of John Walsh, host of America's Most Wanted: America Fights Back (1988).
In 2008, The Hollywood Police Department closed the case of the murder of Adam Walsh, naming Ottis Elwood Toole (1947-1996) the killer of Adam Walsh. Ottis Toole was a prolific serial killer who along with his partner-in-crime Henry Lee Lucas are thought to have been responsible for dozens of murders across the United States. Ottis Toole confessed in graphic detail how he kidnapped and murdered Adam Walsh in 1983, shortly after his arrest. He then recanted and then confessed again, only later to recant once again. In 1991, after he was exposed as a vicious serial killer, Jeffery Dahmer was considered a strong suspect in the case, because in 1981 he lived in Miami Beach, Florida a short distance from the now defunct Hollywood Mall. There are also several witnesses who to this day swear they saw him at the Hollywood Mall on July 27, 1981. After a "thorough" review of the case, The HPD concluded it was Ottis Toole who was responsible.
A TV movie for the NBC network.
Maggie Egan's debut.
