The Ark of the Sun God (1984)

Trivia

The Ark of the Sun God

Edit
Director Antonio Margheriti was famed for his usage of scale models and miniatures as special effects for his films. This movie features two car chase sequences (one set on an abandoned railway and the other set in the desert) that almost look like they were big-budgeted stunt set pieces, but were actually filmed with radio-controlled models racing on specifically built small-size dioramas.
Also known as "The Temple of Hell"
A number of the cast and crew re-teamed from about a couple of years earlier where they had collaborated on another 'Indiana Jones' inspired adventure - 'The Hunters of the Golden Cobra' (aka 'I cacciatori del cobra d'oro') (1982). These included director Antonio Margheriti, actors David Warbeck, John Steiner, Giancarlo Maestri and Luciano Pigozzi, cinematographer Sandro Mancori, editor Alberto Moriani, assistant director Edoardo Margheriti and voice/dubbing editor Nick Alexander.
Rips off several score segments from The Beastmaster (1982) by Lee Holdridge in the latter half of the film.
