Trivia

Cannonball Run II

Edit
According to Hal Needham, the day Frank Sinatra showed up on-location to shoot his scene in the Dodge Daytona Turbo, talking to Blake (Dean Martin) and Fenderbaum (Sammy Davis, Jr.), almost every cast member (even those who did not have a call to be on-set that day) came on-set to see Sinatra, Davis, Martin (and honorary Rat Pack member Shirley MacLaine) reunite and reminisce.
Frank Sinatra's cameo was his final acting role in a theatrical movie. He would guest star on an episode of Magnum, P.I. (1987), as well as Who's the Boss (1989) and Daddy Dearest (1993), which were his final acting roles.
Final of the 1970s to 1980s action car stunt comedies for Burt Reynolds. These films included the Smokey And The Bandit and The Cannonball Run films, as well as Stroker Ace (1983) and Hooper (1978).
Sir Roger Moore later regretted his decision to turn down a role in this movie, after finding out Frank Sinatra was appearing. In his autobiography, he states of this, "Regrets, I've had a few, but too few to mention."
According to his memoirs, Roger Moore was again offered the role of Seymour Goldfarb, but turned it down, feeling the joke could go no further. His final female companion had been injured in a car crash on the last day of shooting The Cannonball Run (1981), which was also influential in his refusing the sequel.
