Trivia

The Ratings Game

Edit
A TV movie made for the Showtime/Movie Channel network.
An early appearance for Michael Richards and Jerry Seinfeld, who would both later go on to star in Seinfeld, one of the most successful sitcoms of all time. They don't, however, share any scenes in this film.
Danny DeVito and Vincent Schiavelli played mental patients in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
In a deleted scene Lainie Kazan played 'Edna,' the struggling network's psychic adviser. Jonathan Winters wanted to play kiddie show host 'Captain Andy,' but was unavailable. Geena Davis auditioned for several parts, including 'Hamilton's Girl.'
A bonding scene in the movie brings transplanted Jersey lovers Vic and Francine together. In the 1960s a popular commercial for the New York city area was the Palisades Amusement Park Jingle that signified the beginning of spring. Danny DeVito grew up in Asbury Park, New Jersey while Rhea was growing up in Brooklyn, New York. The commercial aired predominantly in the New York market on TV and radio stations.
