Get aboard the Hell Train for ultimate Hammer Horror they never made
The spirit of Hammer Film Productions is all set to rise screaming from the grave in new book Hell Train.

Author Christopher Fowler has crafted a creepy new tale set in the glory (or should that be gory?) days of the legendary studio that staked its claim to British horror cinema.

Fowler, whose company designed the iconic Trainspotting and Reservoir Dogs film posters, is also known for creating some of the most memorable taglines in movie history - including Alien's "In space, no-one can hear you scream."

Hell Train takes British horror on journey back to its roots
A New novel by Christopher Fowler promises to put UK horror fiction on the right track.

Solaris has acquired Fowler's new supernatural tale Hell Train, which will be published in the UK and Us in January 2012.

Jonathan Oliver, editor-in-chief of Solaris, said: "I've been a fan of Christopher Fowler for a long time and have always loved his horror stories.

"So it's very exciting to be working with him on this rip-roaring supernatural yarn. Christopher brings us something of the British horror film industry at its height, while also stamping his own mark on this thrilling tale."

Born in Greenwich, London, Christopher Fowler has written for film, television, radio, graphic novels, and for journals ranging from The Times to The Big Issue for more than thirty years. He is a regular columnist for both The Independent on Sunday and the Ft.

Fowler (pictured below) is the multi-award winning author of...
