Due to a lack of suitable weather in Switzerland at the time of filming a special effects team had to be sent across from the UK to produce most of the snow seen throughout this production. The garden party scene, for instance, was all shot using artificial snow.
Clarissa Kaye-Mason was the wife of James Mason; this was the last of six movies they made together.
