"This Year's Blonde" was part of a three-part miniseries "Moviola," named after the novel of the same name by author Garson Kanin. The other two stories were "The Silent Lovers," starring Kristina Wayborn and Barry Bostwick as I'll-fated lovers Greta Garbo and John Gilbert, and "The Scarlett O'Hara War," starring Tony Curtis and Bill Macy as brothers David O. and Myron Selznick and their search for the perfect actress to play the "Gone With the Wind" heroine.
