- Mayor William Wells: No damn shark's gonna screw up a whole year's worth of work and planning. We're going ahead with the regatta, and there won't be any risks.
- Ron Hamer: It's not his hunger he wants to satisfy. He wants to kill. So you have two choices. One, get out of his way. The other, is to hold your ground and fire, and try to kill him because you do not have another choice. Any questions?
- Mayor William Wells: So the actual triangle in which the regatta takes place will be 100% safe. Gentleman, absolutely nothing is going to happen.
- Bob Martin: [while the shark rips a portion of the crowded pier off] Keep your camera rolling. You get some good shots of that shark and I'll buy you a lobster dinner. I'm going back to the van.
