Nostalgia is Sega’s newest driving force as they look back from the past and pluck out some beloved classics from the cobwebs and drag them into the present day with the Aaa treatment. The Game Awards 2023 was the perfect event to announce the reboots of five titles with a small teaser but what really stood out and drove fans crazy was Crazy Taxi.
Excitement is an understatement especially if retro gamers and new players alike can share and experience legacy franchises in modern consoles but with the core game still in there, and Sega isn’t slowing down.
Remasters, reboots, and remakes are nothing new but when done right then it is justified. Crazy Taxi made its debut through arcade machines back in 1999 then got ported in superseding home consoles such as the DreamCast, PS2, GameCube, Xbox, and even in the form of handhelds like the PSP and Gba.

If you’ve been online at all over the past two weeks, you’ve heard “Planet of the Bass,” a viral 1990s Eurodance parody that rapidly evolved from TikTok gag to, arguably, the song of the summer. Performed by comedian Kyle Gordon (who co-wrote the tune with TV writer Brooks Allison) and singer-songwriter Chrissi Poland, it purports to be a track from the ambiguously European duo of DJ Crazy Times and Ms. Biljana Electronica. Over infectious synthesizers and an irresistible club beat, the pair delivers nonsensical lyrics (“Life, it never...

Nashville producer Dave Cobb is best known for his work with country icons like Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, and Jason Isbell. But when he was a kid in the Eighties, he listened mostly to hard rock bands like Bad Company, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Van Halen. He was 11 when Sammy Hagar took over as lead singer of Van Halen, and their early albums together left a huge impression on him.
“I remember playing drums along to ‘Dreams’ and just freaking out,” Cobb tells Rolling Stone. “I watched [their 1986 concert film] Live Without...

Spoilers ahoy, as we dig through the many callbacks and references in World Enough And Time...
This article contains lots and lots of Doctor Who spoilers.

Pain… Pain… Pain… That’s one of the main emotions I experienced while watching this week’s (rather excellent) Doctor Who, as I knew this weekly round-up of references, similarities and generally interesting ‘stuff’ was going to be a whopper. That doesn’t mean I haven’t missed anything, though, so if you spot something I’ve not mentioned, do the honourable thing and leave it in the comments section below...

Some people have a knack for putting themselves at the center of history. Daniel Fields was just a middle-class kid from Queens, but — during the second half of the 20th century — he discovered the Ramones, burned down the Beatles and seemingly had sex with every gay man at Harvard in the early 1960s. He was, to quote John Cameron Mitchell, “Handmaiden to the gods, midwife to some of the most important people in music.”
And Fields will be happy to tell you all about it, recounting his glory days with the bluntness of a grandfather recording his life story for posterity and the candidness of a 75-year-old man who’s remembering it for himself. So why, after 100 minutes of listening to him ramble on about everything he’s seen and everything he’s snorted, do we still have no idea what he actually did? Why, at the end of Brendan Toller...

Ernie Hudson is probably best known for his role as Winston Zeddemore in Ghostbusters, the warden in Oz or his role in his current series, The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
But, he’s been on stage and screen for years also appearing in Las Vegas, Law and Order, Desperate Housewives, The Hand That Rocks The Cradle and was on Broadway in last year’s, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone.
In his new film, Doonby, he plays Leroy, a blues musician who quits his life on the road to settle down with the woman of his dreams.
He’s a truly talented guy and gave a wonderfully candid interview. We talk about how he got his start, the worst non-acting job he’s ever had, if he still has to audition (and when he does, his tech savvy way around it), his new film Doonby and so much more!
