While it seems King Cobra is an alternative title, it's actually the title shown on the screen in the movie itself. Jaws of Satan, an attempt to cash in on Jaws, is actually the alternative title.
Filmed under the title "King Cobra" during the fall of 1980 in the Alabama towns of Tuscaloosa, Desmopolis, Eutaw and Childersburg. It premiered in the Birmingham area on Jan. 15, 1982.
Scream Factory released the film on Blu-ray as a double-feature with Empire of the Ants (1977) in 2015.
