Lee Horsley in Matt Houston (1982)

Trivia

Matt Houston

Edit
Buddy Ebsen appeared in just 22 episodes, joining the series as Matts uncle Roy for its third and final season.
The vehicle that Houston drove during the series was a 1982 Excalibur Phaeton IV. Two were purchased for use in the production, after the studio picked up the series. The cost of the vehicles was $50,800 each. In the pilot episode, Houston drove a 1980 Sparks Roadster (an Excalibur Kit Car).
When Matt and CJ are in the office looking at their video computer, each time they hit a button, a short sound effect is played. The sound effect is the same effect (albeit edited) which is used as the bridge background effect in Star Trek-The Original Series.
Spoofed in Mad Magazine as "Matt Houstink".
Final live role for Judy Strangis (High Fashion Murders. S3, E8). She gave up her career in front of the camera because she was being stalked. This led to her becoming involved in voice-over work for animated shows after this.
