The series ended after a stunt went wrong involving Lionel Jeffries and Ian Ogilvy in a car being driven into a lake. The actors were told the lake was 2 foot 6 deep. The car floated into the middle of the lake and began to sink. Lionel got out just before the car sank to a depth of 45 feet. He was so upset and shocked by the incident this was the last episode.
