Comedy about a bunch of misfits in a class together.

This movie is in the slapstick genre of airplanes, police academy, and stewardess school. The premise is pretty unfathomable: a high school is forced somehow to offer free classes to anybody. So somehow prisoners and weirdos end up taking such classes as underwater ballet, jewelry making, and whatever class the star trek nymphomaniac teaches. Somehow the teachers who don&#39;t want to work for free are made out to be the badguys. The plot is also convoluted as this guy who gets imprisoned (for reasons unknown) must spy for the police on a gangster, and the gangster in turn makes him spy on his wife in night school. The jokes are pretty lame, with only a few funny ones splattered about. The ending is the real kicker, however. The movie ends with what seems like an honest plea to let adults take night school for a better education, then cuts to the &quot;graduation night&quot; festivities and the drag-queen prom queen being shot by some guy. I have no idea what the hell that means, if it&#39;s supposed to be funny or if it&#39;s some sort of weird social criticism. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

This movie is horrible. Not even funny in a perverse way. Watched it with my gf and her sister who are about 100 years younger than i am. Given the era, it is a horrible attempt at a copy cat of Animal House, Caddyshack, Up The Creek, Porky&#39;s, and, I guess, Nerds. Subtract the bad writing, even worse acting, and you have the genre performed on the cheap with no talent. How this got green lit is a reflection of Hollywood&#39;s very low opinion of its customers&#39; IQ. I got halfway through and could not take it anymore. Do youself a huge favor if you are forced to watch it. Get drunk, high, and stand on your head while you watch it.
