Rowan Atkinson and Tony Robinson in Blackadder's Christmas Carol (1988)

Trivia

Blackadder's Christmas Carol

Edit
Ebenezer Blackadder is the only incarnation of Blackadder who is not named Edmund.
It has been noticed by some that Robbie Coltrane's costume and character in this Christmas special, has a nearly identical portrayal to his much later role as Hagrid, in the film versions of J.K. Rowling's series of Harry Potter books. Also, its been claimed that J.K. Rowling herself had said Robbie Coltrane was always intended to have been cast as Hagrid in the films, suggesting that this Blackadder episode may in part have inspired the creation of Hagrid.
Space Commander Travis, the antagonist of Blake's 7 (1978), was a major influence on Grand Admiral Blackadder.
This film and Blackadder: Back & Forth (1999) are the only two to actively reprise characters from previous Blackadder incarnations (namely new segments for Blackadder II (1986) and Blackadder the Third (1987)).
Miriam Margolyes (Queen Victoria) and Jim Broadbent (Albert) return to the world of Blackadder six years after playing the Infanta of Spain and her interpreter in the original series, Blackadder (1982). Margolyes appeared without Broadbent in an episode of Blackadder II (1986).
