Veronica Television broadcast an open casting call to find a young girl to play Honneponnetje from Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam. Nada van Nie won the part even though she did not audition at that time.
Original male lead Kenneth Herdigein hurt his knees jumping of a ladder for a scene and had to be replaced at the last minute by Marc Hazewinkel.
