Eight of the cast members of this movie have appeared in the Halloween films franchise. Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998)) and Dee Wallace (the Rob Zombie remake of Halloween (2007)), and the other six are natives of Salt Lake City, Utah, where this was filmed as were Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988), Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989), and Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995). H4's Michael Flynn, Eric Hart, Michael Ruud, George Sullivan, and Tommy Lee Jones, and H5's Don Shanks.
Stranger on My Land (1988) is an Western television film, premiered on American Broadcasting Company, directed by Larry Elikann and is also Joseph Gordon-Levitt's debut role.
Parts of the film were shot in Salt Lake City and Kamas, Utah.
