After the success of Ghulami, J.P.Dutta signed 2 films Nadiadwala's Hathyar & Yateem.
Anil Kapoor had signed the film but opted out due to not being comfortable with two scenes in the film.
Yateem is Sunny Deol's home production, after its release than Ghayal started.
Yateem was to be released earlier but got delayed.
After the release of Hathyaar & Yateem, J.P.Dutta anounced Bandhua with Amitabh Bachchan, Waheeda Rehman, Madhuri and Shilpa Shriploder, but the film was shelved. The film was being produced by The Nadiadwala. Then. J.P.Dutta made a big film for producer Salim, Batwara.
