Mark Billingham, David Lloyd, and Tony Robinson in Maid Marian and Her Merry Men (1989)

Trivia

Maid Marian and Her Merry Men

Edit
Tony Robinson came up with the idea of the show, after watching his daughter playing with other kids and it occurred to him that if she had been in Robin Hood's gang, she would had been the one who was running it, not Robin Hood.
Unusually for a children's sitcom, there were no child characters among the main cast, but even so, kids flocked to a show that was offering a fun take on history, directly aimed at them.
Tony Robinson announced Series 4 was the final season during an interview on "CBBC" and stated that BBC didn't want anymore seasons of Maid Marian.
Kate Lonergan quit acting and now works for a gardening company.
When Robin Hood wonders whether his life would ever be made into a movie, Rabies asks if he could be in it. The actor who played Rabies, Howard Lew Lewis, did in fact appear in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) as Hal.
