Elaine Miles won the part of Marilyn Whirlwind by accident. She accompanied her mother, Armenia Miles, who was auditioning for the part of Marilyn, and they cast Elaine instead.

After the show was completed, the apostrophe and the S was removed from the mural. Despite its prominence in the opening credits, Roslyn's Cafè is never featured in any episodes.
