Australian born thief Terry Dean is released from prison only to get hit by a car when he saves a child. In hospital, Terry is visited by God in a vision and God decides to give Terry a shot of redemption and decides to send him back to Earth as a probationary angel to help others. Unsure if it was a dream or if God really did visit him and sent him back, Terry hits the road. Terry meets and befriends disabled Steve Garner and Terry agrees to help Steve and his suspicious sister Rose save their youth center from closure. However, two police officers are searching for Terry after Terry commits a robbery disguised as Willie Nelson and they set out to apprehend the thief.
