Kari Sorvali played Sergeant Jutila in The Winter War (1989), a doctor in Pohjanmaa (1988) and the lead role of Erkki Hakala in this movie. All those movies are part of the so-called Hakala Saga. The fourth movie is titled Lakeuden kutsu (2000).
