Despite being made five years prior to 'Vampire in Brooklyn' (1995), it wasn't available until 1997 in Sweden, as a direct-to-video-release. Due to some common themes (such as a African American vampire in New York), it was promoted as a sequel to 'Vampire in Brooklyn'.
