For Better or for Worse (1989)

Trivia

For Better or for Worse

Edit
Paul Reiser was originally in the lead role. After four weeks of shooting, Paul badly injured his leg. His role was re-cast with Robert Hays, and the shoot had to start all over again in Spain.
The film was produced by Paul Maslansky, who was also behind the Police Academy franchise. All 7 films in the series are represented by three actors in this film: Kim Cattrall was in the original Police Academy (1984), Christopher Lee was in the final film Police Academy: Mission to Moscow (1994), and Lance Kinsey was the five films in between from Police Academy 2: Their First Assignment (1985) to Police Academy 6: City Under Siege (1989).
Originally filmed under the title of "For Better of for Worse", it was changed upon release to "Honeymoon Academy" in an attempt to allude to producer Paul Maslansky's successful Police Academy franchise. It has since screened under its originally intended title on streaming services.
Gordon Jump who appears in this film was also part of Making the Grade (1984), which Gene Quintano co-wrote and produced for Cannon Films.
This was the third collaboration between producer Tony Anthony and writer/director Gene Quintano. Their other films include Comin' at Ya! (1981) and Treasure of the Four Crowns (1983). They would later make the western Dollar for the Dead (1998) almost ten years later after this film wrapped production.
