When Lt. Dinardo chases a suspect past a theatre on the New York city streets, you can clearly see a movie billboard for 1981 slasher, The Burning.

This was Maureen O'Sullivan's first film since The Phynx (1970) 15 years earlier.

At the movie's premier at Hollywood's Paramount Theatre, a contest was held outside to find the girl with the loudest scream. 100 contestants were judged by star Mike Connors.
