One of only three dramatic theatrical feature films directed by prolific Australian writer Bob Ellis. The movies are [in order]: Unfinished Business (1985), Warm Nights on a Slow Moving Train (1987) and The Nostradamus Kid (1993).
The picture's opening credits roll states that it is ''a film by Bob Ellis, Andrew Lesnie, Michele Fawdon, John Clayton, Norman Kaye, Rebel Penfold-Russell, Andrena Finlay, Patric Juillet, Jake Atkinson, June Henman, Vit Martinek, Amanda Robson, Gerry Nucifora, Jane Johnson, Stephanie Richards, Nicki Gooley, Colin Deane, Geoff Kricks, Michael McGennan, Peter Simon, Angela Knight, Antony Gray, Fiona Strain, Ashley Grenville, Mike Thomas, Sally Fitzpatrick, Peter Tesakis, Clare McClelland, Leigh Kowald, Rachael Atkinson, Anne Brookesbank, Alan Murray, Edward F. Lockton, Sigmund Romberg, Oscar Hammerstein III, Martin Cohen, Gore Vidal and Peter Dawson''.
The movie's closing credits declare that: ''The director [Bob Ellis] wishes to acknowledge the many contributions to the script by Anne Brooksbank, Michele Fawdon and John Clayton. And to the visual content by Andrew Lesnie, Amanda Robson and Vit Martinek''.
Reportedly, writer-director Bob Ellis, for writing and directing this Australian movie, took no fee or salary at all for performing these duties.
