The film's complete failure (terrible reviews and a bomb result at the box office) sent its poor director, Albert Magnoli, into what was then known in Hollywood as "Movie Jail." Magnoli never had a hit under his own name like his smash hit 1984 debut PURPLE RAIN, only being given chances to direct theatrical films in secret such as his replacement work on TANGO & CASH. He was left to work on TV movies and hasn't directed a film anywhere since 1997.
