Parijat's failed debut.

Anjaam review :

A rare film where Shafi Inamdar had a meaty role of Hema Malini's villainous husband who tries to rape his step daughter Parijat in the climax. Raj Babbar was the first choice for this role but he changed his mind later. Anjaam was Parijat's debut movie but sadly, the film didnt do anything for her career. She was a pretty face with decent acting skills but as they say, lady luck plays a significant role in anyone's success. Appearing in a few films like Rambhoomi (1991) where again she had a rape scene, her career didnt progress beyond a few years.
