Although uncredited, Linda Fiorentino plays the Spanish maid that disrupts the dance between Olivia and Strobe at the fancy party for the dog.
Debut theatrical feature film of actress Ava Fabian who played a Barney's Beauty.
The name of the book that Barney Bonar (Paul Rodriguez) was reading on the bus was ''Out of Africa'' (1937) by Karen Blixen. The film version had premiered just the year before in 1985 [See: Out of Africa (1985)].
The song "I Still Believe" by Tim Capello, which gained fame as the "Sax Guy" song from The Lost Boys, is featured in this movie at least a year prior to The Lost Boys being released.
The movie's casting directors were given a brief for the film of finding "the Abbott and Costello of the 1980s" according to film critic Janet Maslin's review published in 'The New York Times' on 3rd May 1985. The casting agents for the film found Paul Rodriguez and Michael O'Keefe for the two lead roles.
