New Monkees (1987)

Trivia

New Monkees

Edit
Youngest member Larry Saltis performed nearly all lead vocals for the group on both the TV series' videos and its accompanying album. Marty Ross took over on only two songs, while Konstantinos Kovas sang lead only on the theme and Jared Chandler not at all.
Larry Saltis is actually quite a good musician and vocalist in real life as well. He and his brother played in a band called "Schemes" in and around the Akron, Ohio area, where their father is a doctor.
In the music video for the song "Burning Desire", a woman is briefly glimpsed about three to four times dancing around. This is Catherine Hardwicke, who worked in the art department for the TV series, and went on to be a director of the first entry in the "Twilight" film series, among others.
The entire TV series' run lasted for only 13 aired episodes.
David Spade revealed on the Fly On The Wall podcast installment Vanessa Bayer (2022) that he was encouraged to audition for the New Monkees even though he was a skater and not a musician.
