Edit
Contrary to popular belief, the picture of Jesus Christ in Rudy's house is not Tommy Chong. Chong turned down an offer to cameo in the film.
The theatrically-released and home video versions cut the entire ending short (about 15 to 20 minutes of footage). In this version, the appearance of the priest standing behind Rudy and Dolores in the last shot of the film is never explained. However, censored versions of the film, such as the version shown on Comedy Central, have the entire ending intact in order to fill out the film's length, which was shortened by cutting other scenes that were not suitable for regular television.
Rudy's hat translates to "No beer No work."
According to Tommy Chong's book "Cheech & Chong: The Unauthorized Autobiography", Cheech Marin offered him a cameo in the film. Chong says he turned it down because he was upset that Marin was doing a film on his own.
Lupe Ontiveros plays Cheech Marin's Mother in the movie. However Ontiveros was only 4 years older than Marin.

Cameo

Larry Blackmon: Blackmon is the lead singer with the group Cameo.
