Cameo: Jim Broadbent, in an undisclosed character part, as a reporter in a trench-coat investigating the existence of Mick Jagger.
Director Julien Temple had previously directed such Mick Jagger / Rolling Stones videos as 'Mick Jagger: Lucky in Love' (1985), 'The Rolling Stones: Undercover of the Night' (1983), 'Mick Jagger: Just Another Night (1985), 'The Rolling Stones: She Was Hot' (1984), 'The Rolling Stones: Too Much Blood' (1984), and 'Video Rewind: The Rolling Stones' Great Video Hits' (1984).
Lead actors Mick Jagger and Dennis Hopper had both perviously played Australian bushrangers in 1970s Australian movies portraying the title characters in 'Ned Kelly (1970) and 'Mad Dog Morgan' (1976) respectively.
Actress Rae Dawn Chong had previously appeared in two Mick Jagger music videos: 'Mick Jagger: Just Another Night' (1985) and 'Mick Jagger: Lucky in Love' (1985) (V).
The movie was made to promote and tie-in with Mick Jagger's first solo album "She's the Boss" which is also an alternate title for the movie.
