- Kit: We all thought the show would be a success, but since it wasn't, I hardly see how I should be responsible for the hotel bill... so why don't we go down into the bar... order some drinks on the room... and... think about it.
- Claire: [praying] I think I may have killed someone. Oh, God, let it be her, not him. Please, let it be *her.*
- Kit: [reciting naughty limerick, while Nancy tickles the side of his face with her bare foot] There was a young lady from Ealing / who had a sensational feeling / she laid down on her back / and opened her crack / and *pissed* on the ceiling!
- Claire: [miserably] Somewhere, I don't know where, I turned a corner, and there was no turning back. Somewhere I made a mistake.
- Kit: Don't mourn it, sweet. It's all right. The marvelous thing about making mistakes is that we can keep making them, the same ones, over and over again.
- Claire: You maybe, not me.
