Milla Jovovich and Christian Slater in Kuffs (1992)

Trivia

Kuffs

Edit
The script was written specifically for Christian Slater in mind for the title role.
Although she was playing a college student, Milla Jovovich was only 15 during principal photography.
The cursing scene was written to poke fun at the PG-13 rating.
First feature film appearance of Ashley Judd. She turned down a larger role because she was asked to do nude scenes. She responded, "My mother worked too hard for me to take my clothes off in my first movie." In fact she said in an interview that producers were asking her to take her clothes off since she first got into acting: "Well first of all, my first audition yielded a screen test and I was asked to take my shirt off. It was between another woman and me, and I said that isn't about our acting, that's about evaluating a pair of breasts. And the answer was not 'no' but 'hell, no!'."
"Kuffs" came under fire from parental and community groups when released theatrically in the US for its violence and profanity. The protesters felt the film well exceeded the PG-13 rating and should have been rated R. This caused the film review board in Dallas, Texas to override the film's PG-13-rating and giving it their own R-rating.
