Al lupo al lupo (1992)

Trivia

Al lupo al lupo

Edit
Carlo Verdone plays the character of Gregorio Sagonà, who has two younger siblings, sister Livia (Francesca Neri) and brother Vanni (Sergio Rubini). In real life Carlo Verdone's second name is Gregorio and he has two younger siblings, brother Luca and sister Silvia. The name of Gregorio's father is Mario, as like the one of Carlo Verdone's father, Mario Verdone, who won the prize of the Accademia Chigiana of Siena in 1948 for the libretto of the opera Il vecchio geloso by Carlo Savina. In the movie, Gregorio Sagonà is going to be awarded with the same prize.
In the original version of the movie, Vanni Sagonà (Barry Morse) is dubbed by young voice actor Franco Zucca, who was at time of filming around same age of Carlo Verdone, who plays Morse's son Gregorio.
A major storm hit on the Apuan Alps during filming of the last scene and went on for three days damaging the roof of the house just during filming. Actor Barry Morse went on playing unperturbed with the only aid of the camera, while the other crew and cast members went away to avoid roof pieces to hit them. Carlo Verdone stated in an interview that they were both admired and amused by Barry Morse's attitude.
Barry Morse had been cast for Carlo Verdone's movie Maledetto il giorno che t'ho incontrato (1992), and then suddenly removed from the cast. Verdone wanted to cast him in this movie in order to apologize with him.
Final film of María Mercader.
