Change of Heart (1993)

Trivia

Change of Heart

Edit
Was never given a video release, although it was occasionally shown on Canadian television via Moviepix and Bravo!. As of 2023, it remains the director's only film to remain commercially unavailable.
Donald Shebib went on to admit that casting Jeremy Ratchford as Felix was a mistake, although added that his acting improved as filming went on. By contrast, he considered Sarah Campbell, a child actor and member of ACTRA since the age of two and ten years old when the film was released, "magnificent".
The movie was given little to no promotion by the time it was ready to be released and was pulled from theatres one week after its release.
Donald Shebib said that Change of Heart was made "very cheaply." Shebib described raising money for the project as "sheer hell": "I was scrambling around looking for ways of making money. There just wasn't anything." Producer Chalmers Adams, who was also Shebib's lawyer, was responsible for the film finally securing funding.
John Candy was originally considered for the part of Felix.
