One of the Best Movies of Madhuri and Salman.

Thakur Ranvir Singh Chaudhary (Anupam Kher) is a rich and influential man of his town. He doted on his only sister Radha, but after her marriage to a man who was much below their status, he could never forgive her. After Radha's death, the responsibility of looking after the children, Vijay, Bittu & Gudiya falls on his shoulders. He hires the services Soniya, masquerading as an old governess Savitri Devi (Madhuri Dixit) to take care of the younger two. Young and dashing Vijay (Salman Khan) falls in love with Soniya in the dancing school where both are dance instructors. Thakur, a confirmed bachelor, is also drawn towards Savitri Devi; Naseeb Kumar (Kader Khan), a good friend of Chaudhary, helps him to win the love of Savitri......

Acting by both leads is excellent...Madhuri excels as Sonia Khanna and Savitri Devi...Salman Khan,Anupam Kher are also good in this movie...The songs by Nadeem Shravan are memorable...Direction is fine...Overall a great flick,and makes you rewatch it again and again!!!

If you watch this movie hoping to see something different you would be disappointed. There are some elements of 1972 Parichay you could see in this movie. Madhuri was pretty and competently did her role/s. Salman khan seemed a mismatch as he looked young, immature and unconvincing in his role. It was apparent the makers didn't invest too much in the songs dept, as they were below par by any standards. Anupam Kher and Kader Khan were upto their usual tomfoolery so nothing new there either. Anyone in 90s going to watch this movie would have done due to the craze of Madhuri, the rest of the cast were there just for the ambiance. Safely skip this one.

Remake of Professor 1962 starring Shammi Kapoor. Which was far better than this. Yet the original was not that great but watchable. Comparing the original, it's worse. Madhuri leads a sad life with her sad mother in a needy family. But she doesn't seem that, as Madhuri has no sadness and forgets her mother miseries, she is doing hiphop with Salman and sometimes Anupam and Kader. Howver, Madhuri looks so beautiful and hot here. The songs are not much good. I rated 6 only for Kader Khan and Anupam Kher. They are the best comedy due.
