Jim Varney in Ernest Rides Again (1993)

Trivia

Ernest Rides Again

Edit
The opening has metal objects chasing after Ernest. This is similar to the beginning of Ernest Goes to Jail (1990) released three years before.
Originally called "Ernest Meets Goliath". John Cherry couldn't decide whether to go with "Ernest Meets Goliath", "Ernest Goes Boom" or "Ernest Rides Again". He asked his 17-year-old daughter, Emilie, to have her classmates help him out. She played in the 150-member school band; they took a vote and "Ernest Rides Again" won out.
This is the first film in the series not released by Disney subsidiary Touchstone Pictures.
This is the only theatrically released Ernest movie not reviewed in Leonard Maltin's movie guides. He mistakenly calls Ernest Goes to School the fifth movie in the series, instead of the sixth.
Its only DVD release was on June 5, 2012 as part of Image Entertainment's DVD box set "Ernest's Wacky Adventures Volume 1" along with Ernest in the Army (1998), "Ernest's Greatest Hits 1" and "Ernest's Greatest Hits 2".
