Originally Kadar Khan's role was offered to Amitabh Bachchan. He turned it down because he was taking break from movies.
Mithun Chakraborthy and Juhi Chawla had a massive showdown due to Juhi arriving very late to the film's shooting. Juhi blamed her secretary for the blunder and reconciled later with Mithun.

Kadar Khan's son Sarfaraz Khan played the role of younger Kadar Khan.
