Liam Norberg was arrested for several bank robberies soon before the premiere of the film. This caused an enormous controversy surrounding the film. SF Bio was charged with fencing as the authorities suspected the stolen money had been used to make the film. The charges where eventually dropped. Norberg's partner in said robberies where Dragomir Mrsic, who after serving several years in prison also became an actor.
This was the last Swedish film to be edited by the Swedish censorship organ: Statens Biografbyrå.
Due to the Swedish censorship, this was cut from 112 to 108 minutes. The uncut version was later released on DVD and Blu-ray.
