According to Daniel Filho, Globo TV turned down the series "having barely seen two minutes" of footage. The show turned out a hit on Cultura TV and later on Band, which led to Globo TV creating its long running teen series Malhação (1995). Maria Mariana also worked as writer on that show, while Dani Valente had a role.
This series was turned down by Globo TV. Ironically, Deborah Secco took off as an actress on that network.
Deborah Secco's role is recast with Camila Capucci in the final two seasons due to Secco moving on to Globo TV.
