Uncle Jim is played by Jerry Rushing, the real-life moonshine runner whose exploits as a bootlegger served as the inspiration for the TV series The Dukes of Hazzard. The previous Bandit TV movie, Bandit Bandit, co-starred John Schneider, best known as Bo Duke on The Dukes of Hazzard.
