Larry Drake is the only cast member to return from the first film.
Filmed simultaneously with Darkman III: Die Darkman Die (1996) in the latter part of 1993, but not released until going direct-to-video on July 11, 1995.
At the end of the first film, Darkman dons a new disguise unseen to the audience before (but in real life, the face of Bruce Campbell). This was because Campbell had a cameo appearance for the small scene, and director Sam Raimi wanted Campbell to play Darkman in the sequels. It never happened though due to Campbell working on other projects.
The first direct-to-video live-action film released by Universal Studios.
At the premiere of this film, Sam Raimi told Larry Drake that Durant will be back in a third film. It never happened.
