Edit
One of a number of films directed by director Craig Lahiff with one word titles. The titles include: Coda (1987), Swerve (2011), Fever (1988), Ebbtide (1994), Strangers (1991), and Labyrinth (1979).
One of five feature film collaborations of producer Helen Leake and director Craig Lahiff. The titles are 'Swerve' (2011), 'Ebbtide' (1994), 'Black and White' (2002), 'Heaven's Burning' (1997), and the documentary 'Politics, Power, Justice and the Media: Controversies of the Stuart Case' (2010).
One of about seven film collaborations of director Craig Lahiff and writer John Emery now known as Josephine Emery. The productions are: 'Fever' (1988), 'Ebbtide' (1994), 'Strangers' (1991), 'Labyrinth' (1979), 'The Dreaming' (1988), 'The Coming' (1981), and 'The Jogger' (1980). Emery was not a writer but publicist on 'Ebbtide'.
Scriptwriter Bob Ellis is billed in the credits as Robert Ellis. Director Craig Lahiff later said: ''That's what he wanted on the credit. Maybe that's a way of saying he disapproved.''
Screenwriter Bob Ellis once said that the original screenplay "was a really terrific Chandleresque film noir that bears no resemblance to the eventual film."
