Brad Pitt and Ricky Schroder in Across the Tracks (1990)

Trivia

Across the Tracks

Edit
The Maloney brothers are supposed to be in high school. In reality, Ricky Schroeder was around 20 and Brad Pitt 27 during filming. But it can be assumed that they were really bad students who were set back several grades in school.
Recorded in Ultra-Stereo.
On many DVD releases, the image of Brad Pitt takes up the entire frame despite Ricky Schroder being the protagonist of the movie and more well-known at the time. This movie was one of Ricky's first adult roles and one of the last Brad PItt roles before he made a breakthrough in Thelma & Louise. Brad had also appeared in one season of the nighttime soap opera Dallas.
The morning after Billy got into a fight at school, Joe is putting on his sneakers next to a bookshelf that has a J.R.R. Tolkien biography written by Humphrey Carpenter on it.
Played mostly on cable, and wound up in bargain basement bin DVDs.
