When i was a little kid
i always
watch Bassie and Adriaan,
the first series the boogeyman was too scary,
but the diamand serie and the secret of the key was more thrilling fun, not so childish like in later series, with the arrival of crook fast Japie.
B1 and B100 are my favorite crooks. B1 was a more obscure figur also because i like more obscure characters as a kid also yes. B100 has a skinny face and yells the whole time i always have bad luck!. the most Childish character of the show was Fast Japie he is soo irritating.

This is a great movie/episode of Bassie en Adriaan. When I was younger I always loved this particular one, it was thrilling for me then. Why I don't know, perhaps because it has the Halloween theme music all the time during this movie/episode. Well I would advise you to see this when it is on the television even if you aren't a kid anymore.
This serie is absolute entertainment like all the Bassie and Adriaan-adventures.
In this adventure we see the villains B-100 and Handy Harry for the first time.
Bassie and Adriaan travel all over Europe to find secret packages.
Great fun !

This is a great kids TV show... 2 clowns who travel around Holland/Netherlands. so cute for kids. i wish it was out for DVD?? Bassie is the big silly clown, always trying to run away, but always leads him into trouble..he-he Adrian is more like the carer for bassie and loves to play jokes on him.the show has special guests from different parts of the country, who join in the fun with bassie. painting and dancing, singing. this show has great sing along songs for the kids that you will never forget.yes, they are lame but you just cant help singing. i saw this on video when my grandfather bought it for overseas.kids love the silly in it. get it on video at least. very funny to watch..
Bassie en Adriaan is a series that I hold close to my heart, and it unquestionably deserves a 10/10 rating. In my view, it stands as one of the greatest children's series ever created. Having watched it over 150 times, its charm and appeal never seem to fade, even as an adult. The series manages to strike a perfect balance between humor, adventure, and educational content, making it enjoyable for viewers of all ages.
What's particularly remarkable about Bassie en Adriaan is its enduring appeal. Unlike many children's shows that lose their magic as one grows older, this series maintains its allure, proving to be just as entertaining for adults as it is for kids. It's a testament to the quality of the writing and the universal themes it explores.
My favorite part of the series is 'Reis door Europa' (Journey through Europe). This segment stands out for its adventurous spirit and the way it introduces young viewers to different cultures and landmarks across Europe. It's both fun and educational, a combination that's rare to find in children's programming.
It's a shame that Bassie en Adriaan doesn't receive as much recognition today as it did in the past. This series is a gem from a bygone era, one that deserves to be celebrated and remembered for its significant contribution to children's entertainment.

- Trivia(series 4) Many of Bassie's dream sequences were cut from the final edit of the series, due to many problems on the set.
- GoofsInspecteur Jeroen van der Steen aka The Captain speaks common Dutch without a local accent while being under hypnosis, but has a very strong Flemish accent when waking up.
- Crazy creditsThe show's leader contains several scenes which were only shot for the leader, in order to make the viewer curious about the story, while never appearing in the series itself.
- Alternate versionsIn the mid-1980s, there were two episodes missing, episode 2 and 7 of season 2. So Aad van Toor re-edited the series, to make the story work without those episodes. All reruns, videos and DVDs until 2004 are missing about three episodes because of this. (Aad had to delete about one episode of material to remove any references to the missing episodes.) One of the two missing episodes was rediscovered in 2004 (episode 2). It was put back in again, together with some of the material referring to it.
