There is a 27 volume manga series written and drawn by Kazushi Hagiwara. It was originally published from 1988 to 1989 by Shueisha in Japan and by Viz Media in the USA and Canada,it was published in France by Glenat, in Spain by Planeta DeAgostini Comics, in Germany by Carlsen Comics and in Brazil by JBC. Viz Media stopped publishing the manga after 20 volumes.
A video game was released for the Super Famicom in Japan on January 28th, 1994 that was published by Cobra Team.
The CD Soundtrack was released on March 1st 2005 by Geneon Entertainment in the USA.
The North America DVD was available in two edition: a regular edition with just the DVD itself or in a 'Limited Edition' with special packaging and a Dark Schneider action figure that was limited to only 5000 copies.
