Sonali Bendre was approached for Deepti Bhatnagar's role. She refused it and this angered producer Firoz Nadiadwala.
"Pyar Pyar Pyar Mujhe Pyar" sampled the intro of the song "Ali Da Malang" from the album Magic Touch by Bally Sagoo and Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. The original source for the intro music was the song " 9 mm Goes Bang" by Boogie Down Productions (KRS - One). Pyar Pyar Pyar Mujhe Pyar also sampled Salt n Peppa song "Lets Talk About Sex Baby".
In 1994, Sohail Khan started his first film as a director titled "Raam" produced by Mansoor Siddique. Starring Salman Khan,Pooja Bhatt, Arbaaz Khan (Replaced Abhishek Kapoor), Sonali Bendre.. The film was 40% complete. When the film was shelved due to going over budget, Mansoor Siddique sold the title song of the film to Firoz Nadiadwala. The song " Tujhe Manga Tha Tujhe Paya Hai " was recorded for Ram and then later used in Ram Shastra.
Ashwini Bhave was signed and auditioned for the second role . She was later dropped due to date problems. They approached Raveena Tandon, Karishma Kapoor and Pooja Bhatt for the role. They all declined siting some type of problem. That is when designer Anna Singh brought model Deepti Bhatnagar to Sanjay Gupta.
