James Garner and Stuart Margolin in The Rockford Files: A Blessing in Disguise (1995)

Trivia

The Rockford Files: A Blessing in Disguise

Edit
These Rockford films are love letters to the series' many faithful viewers, and as such, there's many little nods to the series. This one starts it off in the very first scene. After the cable guy finishes installing Jim's cable, he says; 'call us, and will be here faster than you can say Geronimo...', which is a reference to the last episode of the series' first year; Roundabout (1975). When Jim wants the agents to rush in - atop Hoover Dam - and save him, he's supposed to yell, 'Geronimo'. Even though he repeatedly says it, in ever-more ridiculous ways, he's left hanging (BTW; they DO finally show up).
The second of eight "Rockford Files" reunion TV movies.
In the film's climax, Angel gets shot in the buttocks. James Garner was actually shot in the buttocks during a "friendly fire" incident in the Korean War. In 1983, he was awarded a Purple Heart for that and other injuries he sustained during that war.
Richard Romanus (Vincent Penguinetti) had guest-starred as Sean Innes on the Rockford Files episode "Three Day Affair with a Thirty Day Escrow" (1979).
Lt Chapman is now a Captain, making him Becker's superior again.
