Sailor Moon (1995)

FAQ

Sailor Moon

FAQ

This page covers the CANADIAN dub of the Sailor Moon series by DIC and Cloverway, while the other version (Sailor Moon (1992)) covers the original Japanese version along with the later English version by VIZ Media in the 2010's which is a more faithful adaption of the series. One major difference is the episodes listed, as the original dub not only skipped the Stars season, but also banned certain episodes, most notably DIC in both Season 1 and 2, while that page lists all of the original episodes.

The Japanese version (and later VIZ Media English version) has more homosexual references, violence and characters, Japanese culture references, more episodes than this due to the difference in rules for TV censorship and what is allowed to air for children's television in the US as the United States is more restrictive, while Japan is more lenient on what is allowed to air for their children on TV (though they still have their own censorship rules in place). Also the DIC seasons included some educational segments at the end of their episodes known as "Sailor Says"
